Meet The Farmers: Freedlund Farms

Our next Meet The Farmers Dinner will be featuring Freedlund Farms. A fourth-generation family farm in Rockton, Illinois, for an evening celebrating local agriculture, seasonal ingredients, and the people behind the food we eat.
This farm has raised a wide variety of crops including corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, pumpkins, and sweet corn. It’s also home to cattle, pasture-raised pigs, goats, chickens, donkeys, alpacas, and mini ponies.
For this dinner, our chefs will create six courses inspired by the farm and featuring their fresh fruits and vegetables. Each course will showcase the ingredients in a unique way while celebrating the connection between local farms and our kitchen.
We’re excited to share the story of another local farm through food and bring a little piece of Rockton to the table at Abreo.

Our Story
What started out as a private chef catering dinner parties from a Honda Civic, has turned into a journey of over 20 years creating unique menus with carefully curated wine and cocktails. We are Food Dorks who love creating incredible dining experiences.
